Hiking at the Tafelberg without a guide
You can enjoy hiking at the Tafelberg without a guide, the trail system is well signposted all the way to the summit. Please beware of an active mining operation next to the trails, please Do Not trespass the boundaries beyond warning signs.
- Every week from Wednesday to Sunday
- Starting hours are 07:30-12:00, you can book upfront or just walk-in. Earlier check-ins are available upon request.
- The starting and ending point is our RCC shop which is located next to the Santa Barbara entrance.
- The trail distance is around 8.5 km and it will take around 3 hours for the average hiker.
- Price is $20 USD pp.
- You will get a map and instructions from us.
- Beware of warning signs at the top of the mountain. Do not trespass
Ask for our Punch Cards!
We also sell Punch Cards for people that would like to enter the trail more frequently.
The Punch Card costs $100 USD for 10 entries.
Max 2 persons per Punch Card per time.
Solo or group experienced hikers must check in at the shop, sign the waiver and pay the entrance fee US$20
